Mission & Purpose
Gymnastics Unlimited is a Safe, Fun Place to Learn.
We provide high-quality instructional, educational, and entertainment opportunities in a positive, caring environment. Our mission is to help children become healthy productive adults. We teach gymnastics, tumbling, acrobatics, and ninja in the form of classes, teams, and summer camps.
Our purpose is to support each child in reaching their potential, with respect to their own goals. We strive to be positive role models and bring out the best in each individual. Safety, fun, and skill-acquisition are key to achieving these goals and making Gymnastics Unlimited a wonderful environment for kids.
Gymnastics Unlimited was founded in September of 1973. Former owner Kathy McCormick was a collegiate gymnast in Illinois; two years after returning to Hunterdon County, she purchased the gym, which has continued for 40 years. Following McCormick’s retirement in 2021, the gym was purchased by long-time team coach, Zoey Blampey, and his wife, Mia.
Starting from an original staff of five, Gymnastics Unlimited has grown to over 30 instructors. Thousands of children over four generations of families have learned to flip in our warm and friendly facility.
Gymnastics Unlimited is an active member of the National Gymnastics Association and also participates in the National Gymnastics Congress, the Regional and State conferences, the Professional Development Summit, and American Red Cross webinars. It is through our attendance at conferences and involvement with these organizations that we learn the very best of what is going on worldwide in gymnastics instruction.
Gymnastics Unlimited gives back to our local and global community through donations, collections, fundraisers, and charity work. By getting students involved in helping others, we help them gain compassion and humility.
